We’ve Been There

From trading in AA chips to our local bartenders, being hospitalized for overconsumption, spending time incarcerated, and more. Our founders have all struggled to gain sobriety and understand where you are coming from. We all found our path through the use of outdoor and physical activity, community connection, and reworking our perceptions little by little to have a more positive outlook on life while retaining long-term sobriety.

In offering a positive atmosphere, Crow’s Nest Ranch will provide a clean, safe, and supportive community where you can adapt to a life of sobriety through structured chores, skill-building meetings, exercise, and outdoor activities. Tenants of the sober living will enjoy the ability to garden, work with animals, tend to the land, and create their own continued care plan while still attending their required meetings, one-on-one counseling sessions, and volunteering in the community. Residents must also have and retain gainful employment in the local Truckee community. All are imperative for the addicts’ healing process. There will be special gatherings for residents to organize and lead, which will ultimately promote further self-confidence and leadership skills.

The Ranch will promote the focus of replacing drug and alcohol-induced 'adrenaline' with healthy living endorphins while assisting with re-entry to society with a quiet place to call home. Living here, you enjoy access to our onsite gym, healthy home cooking courses, multiple guided adventure outings, vocational training, and assistance to obtain full-time employment.

Additionally, we will offer access to our outpatient program for the local Truckee community and our residents alike. We do this by understanding that some need additional support and accountability while retaining their independence to lead sober lives.

NON PROFIT RECOVERY

THE RANCH

Located in the Tahoe National Forest, there is ample opportunity to work with farm animals, tend to our onsite community garden, work out in our house gym, receive direct one-on-one coaching, and there is direct access to a broad spectrum of the multi-seasonal outdoor activities that the Truckee-Tahoe Region is famous for.

Staffing: The Ranch staff will be certified professionals in the addiction and recovery fields who will direct tenants to seek the right continued care and employment conducive to long-term sobriety.

Tenant Employment: The Truckee-Tahoe Region has a need for able-bodied employees to fill its workforce needs. Every tenant will be able to procure gainful employment while they are a tenant of The Ranch.

The House: Crow’s Nest Ranch offers a positive atmosphere to build a solid foundation that helps assist in gaining long-term recovery from addiction while transitioning back into society and leading happy lives.

Outpatient Program: Our approach to drug and alcohol rehabilitation is truly holistic, meaning it focuses on all aspects of the individual, addressing the physical, mental, and spiritual effects of addiction.

Our Philosophy: There are many ways to fail, and too many young men struggle in the tumultuous waters of life while reaching for something real to grasp. The Ranch will be about reclaiming one’s inner ground. The founders have been in the tenants’ “shoes”, meaning we know firsthand that exercise, activities, and a deep re-connection to one’s true nature has a direct correlation with long-term sobriety.
