Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative

Promoting individual wellness by creating work environments in Truckee-Tahoe that further the mental and physical well-being of employees, proactively preventing substance misuse, and supporting recovery from addiction in the workplace and the community.

Crow’s Nest Ranch has been endorsed by Hardy Bullock (Supervisor District 5 | Nevada County, CA), in addressing the pressing issues of substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Our Recovery Friendly Workplace (RFW) Initiative continues that drive by empowering Truckee-Tahoe employers with training, tools, and resources to better address mental health and substance use in the workplace while destigmatizing the culture of recovery.

Supported by the National Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences, and protected by the Americans with Disabilities Act, Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiatives encourage healthy and safe working environments where employers, employees, and our community can collaborate to create positive change, eliminate stigma, and support recovery.

Today, there are over 28 other states with similar initiatives.
