Let (it all) Go!

Let Go - idiom

  1. to stop thinking about or being angry about the past or something that happened in the past:
”She finds it hard to let go of a grudge.”
”You need to let the past go and forgive those who have hurt you.”

Learning how to let go of the stresses and worries around us is vital to both our sobriety and our emotional well-being. Harboring negative feelings toward ourselves or others leaves us in a toxic and counterproductive state of mind. When we hold on to that negativity it eats us up inside and promotes internal conflict, which leads to poor decision-making. Instead, we must learn to Let go. Let go of anxiety. Let go of anger. Let go of hate. Let go of jealousy. JUST LET THINGS GO. This sounds great in theory, but we all know it is a long and difficult process. Negative emotions come naturally to us addicts but with a little practice and remembering The Importance of Impermanence, we can train our minds and create long-lasting changes to our outlook.
